Cut&Paste DIGITAL DESIGN TOURNAMENT 2010: Call for competitors - TOKYO

~2010年は世界10都市で2D、3D、モーショングラフィック部門でコンペ。 審査員は、青木克憲氏、杉山知之氏、中島信也氏(!五十音順)らなどが参加~

ライブ形式のデザインバトル『CUT&PASTE』が、アジア地区での出場者募集をいよいよスタートしました。 東京大会の出場募集は、www.cutandpaste.comにて受付け中。エントリー受付は11月5日(金)23:59に 変更となります。

ただいま、今年度のCUT&PASTEデジタルデザイン・トーナメントにおける2Dデザイン部門、3Dデザイン 部門、モーショングラフィック部門へのエントリーを募集しております。出場者には、CUT&PASTE特有の 「観客を前にしたライブ形式のデザインバトル」において、スキル、作業スピード、スタイルを競って頂き ます。

エントリーしたクリエイターは、ポートフォリオ審査による一次選考後、予選トライアルに参加して頂きま す。予選を通過したクリエイターの方々には、12月11日に開催の東京大会へ出場し、審査員やオーディエン スの前で作品を披露する機会が与えられます。またさらに、世界各10都市で選抜されたグランプリには、 2011年2月ニューヨークで実施予定のCUT&PASTE世界大会への参加権が与えられます。

2010年度エントリーの受付は、11月5日(金)23:59までに変更です。

厳正な選考の結果、エントリーを通過された方々には、次のステップとなる予選トライアウトへのご参加や、 参加者同士の交流を深めるためのイベントへのご招待のご連絡をさせていただきます。この選考は、デザイ ンのスキルを披露する場であるとともに、ライブ形式でデザインする体験をしていただく機会でもあり、ま た、才能を発掘してもらう良きチャンスになることでしょう。選考通過の発表は、メールでのご連絡をもっ て替えさせていただきます。

CUT&PASTEとは?

"CUT&P ASTE"は、デジタルデザインを競い合うライブ形式のトーナメントとして、2005年にニューヨーク市 で初めて開催されました。以来、CUT&P ASTEは毎年参加者を増やし、2Dデザイン部門に加え、3Dデザイン 部門、モーショングラフィック部門のコンペティションの場を才能ある若者たちへ提供してきました。2010 年度の開催を控え、今年もより多くの優れた才能に出会えることを期待しています。

Cut&Paste 2010: Show&Prove

Are you ready to bask in the spotlight as one of design's best?

The time has come for Cut&Paste to begin the 2010 Tour with the latest installment of the Digital Design Tournament. This year we pit the best of 2D, 3D and Motion Design competitors in live battles through 10 cities worldwide. With tour stops in Asia, South America, North America and Europe-all before pulling together the most talented finalists for the New York finale- this is an international showdown you won't want to miss.

For the second year running, the Global Championship in New York will spotlight winners from all ten cities in every category, 2D, 3D and Motion Design, to duke it out on one stage and be crowned the victor. This is the Cut&Paste design battle royale that launches designers into the spotlight.

Cut&Paste will again be the event of the season, and will extend the competitive energy into the crowd, with Audience Design Contests set across the global shows. Each event will feature a variety of locally-curated contests offered in each city. Each event will also feature a special global contest hosted by Converse.Everyone deserves a chance to take on the world.

How does Cut&Paste cram all the creativity into one night? Here is the rundown of an evening of design at epic proportions:

  • Doors will open with a Cut&Paste Meet&Greet, allowing the audience to mingle and get acquainted with the evening's events
  • Early attendees will have the opportunity to check out Show&Tell features. A casual yet dynamic setting for designers to share inspiration, experience and ideas among the Cut&Paste crowd.
  • The main event begins with two preliminary rounds of 2D competition, with 4 competitors facing off in each heat
  • The 3D competition continues the action, followed by the Motion Design finals
  • 2D finalists return to the stage for their final round of competition
  • Audience Design Contests stations will be open during the entire event
  • Total run time for the event will be under 3 hours

Competitor Deadlines & Selection Process

Cut&Paste will accept online entries until the deadlines below.  Select competitors will be invited to Test Rounds, short weekend events that serve as both auditions and a chance to get to know the candidates. This is a show of one's design skills, experience what live design feels like, and potentially earn a spot on stage. To learn more about Test Rounds (Graphic: CLICK HERE).
