「ニルヴァーナ アートシリーズ」が１１月６日（土）から２０１１年まで開催されます。
この新しい企画は新進気鋭のアーティストなどをニルヴァーナニューヨークで紹介します。
NYにあったオリジナルのニルヴァーナレストランはアーティスト達の支援を盛んに行ってお、その伝統ある活動を東京のニルヴァーナニューヨークでも復活させる試みです。
"Tokyo Inspiration"は東京をベースに活躍している写真家、クリストファー・ジューの作品で。
東京に移り住んで以来、彼に多くのポジティブな影響を与えて来た人々に対する感謝のメッセージが込められています。アップビートなスタイル、カラフルな色使いは南カリフォルニアルーツが感じられ、誰にでも親しみやすくインスピレーションやエネルギーを受けとる事が出来るでしょう。東京のマルチカルチャリズムを感じる躍動感のある作品となっています。

１９８３年 南カリフォルニア生まれ。２００５年より東京在住。当初IT企業に勤めながらも本来の夢、写真家への道を切り開く。クライアントにはディズニー、ABCテレビグループ、フォックスネットワーク、ビタミンウォーターなど。現在は旅行出版社、ライフスタイル、エンターテイメント、自動車会社、テレビネットワークなどに作品提供。

東京に住んで５年。今の自分を作ってくれた素晴らしい人たちに沢山会いました。彼らが居なければ今の写真家の自分の存在も無いし、日本にいなかったかもしれません。写真家仲間、映画製作者、作家、編集者、プロデューサー、モデル、起業家、スタイリスト、などなど、偉大なエネルギーで私にインスピレーションを与え、突き動かしてくれた。そして私のアイデアを現実へと導いてくれた多くの方々へ感謝の気持ち。それが東京インスピレーションです。

NIRVANA ART SERIES AND TOKYO INSPIRATION PHOTO EXHIBIT
The Event: The Nirvana Art Series, a new program bringing the creations of both up-and-coming and seasoned artists to Nirvana New York, launches on Saturday, November 6th and runs throughout 2011. The art series reconnects Nirvana with the original Nirvana restaurant in New York City, which enjoyed the patronage of many established artists throughout its history.
The series is pleased to be launching with Tokyo Inspiration, an exhibit featuring the work of Tokyo based photographer Christopher Jue. While Christopher's personal message behind the piece is to convey his appreciation to those who have positively impacted his life since moving to Tokyo, it is simple for anyone observing the work to also feel inspired and energized. His upbeat style, utilizing vibrant colors, is somewhat a reflection of his Southern California roots. And from a contents perspective, the piece is an uplifting celebration of modern day Tokyo's multiculturalism, inviting each of us to imagine how our own portraits would fit among the many faces that make up the work.
A reception will be held for Tokyo Inspiration at Nirvana New York on Saturday, November 6th from 5pm to 7pm. The exhibit will be on display through early February 2011.
Artist Bio: Christopher Jue
Born in sunny Southern California in 1983, he made his move to Tokyo in 2005 where he first began his career in the IT industry then later was given the opportunity to pursue his passion for photography. He has provided services to major clients such as Disney/ABC Television Group, FOX International Channels, and Glaceau vitaminwater. He currently produces work for various publishing companies in the travel, lifestyle, entertainment and automotive industries, creative agencies, and television networks.
The Work: TOKYO INSPIRATION
It's been five years living in Tokyo and throughout my time here, I've met many great individuals that led me to become the person I am today. If it wasn't for those people, I would not be in the kind of profession that I'm in today nor would I imagined still be in Japan. To show my appreciation to those individuals, I photographed those who inspired, motivated and moved me with a wave of positive energy. A curated collection of photographers, filmmakers, writers, editors, producers, models, entrepreneurs, stylists and more, all of whom supported my work and helped transform my ideas into reality. Each of these individuals has grown to become a true inspiration to me.
