Aokigahara Suicide Forest | AList Staff　::: AList Online Magazine

Many people familiar with Japan may know about a forest at the foothills of Fuji Mountain where people go to die. The name of this area is officially called Aokigahara, but is also known as Jukai (Sea of Trees) because from half way up the mountain the forest is green all year round and extends far and wide. Since the area is known for attracting troubled souls, it's not uncommon to hear stories of wandering spirits and other mystical powers enabling it to draw people deep into the forest.

Azusa Hayano, a geologist who frequents the area, takes us into the forest and gives us a peek into the macabre reality of the Jukai and it's victims.
