Aflo News - iPad touches down in Japan

I'm still waiting on my iPad so am not too happy to see the smug picture of Mr Son with his. Back in Britain and other less organised countries if you preordered then you might have received your new gadget yesterday or earlier but Japan is so efficient and Kuroneko works so well that I should have known I wouldn't get mine until the 28th. Here's hoping it will be waiting for me when I get home...

アップル社の新型携帯端末「iPad」が本日28日、ついに発売された。

銀座のApple Storeには徹夜組の行列ができたほか、
ソフトバンク表参道でも発売セレモニーが行われた。

「iPad」が日本で発売されるこ とで、
国内の電子書籍普及に拍車がかかるとも言われており、
発売前には電子書籍向けサービス開始の発表が相次いだ。
